About Me
Hello there! I’m Miya Nakata, a passionate and creative UX/UI design enthusiast on a mission to blend form and function seamlessly. My mission is to create designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but are also highly functional and enhance the user’s journey.
Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington, I’m dedicated to combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. I’m constantly honing my skills to stay at the forefront of design trends and emerging technologies. Through coursework and hands-on projects, I've gained valuable insights into the entire design process—from user research and ideation to final implementation.
The core of my design philosophy revolves around my values of hospitality, connection, and accessibility. I'm committed to creating interfaces that are not only beautiful but user-friendly too. Through thoughtful research and a deep understanding of user behavior, I aim to solve complex problems with elegant solutions.
When I’m not locked into the world of pixels, you can find me nose-deep in a sci-fi novel (shoutout Brandon Sanderson!), getting in touch with my inner grandma through sewing or cross-stitching, spiraling into a YouTube rabbit hole, or hitting the bags for some good ol’ fashioned kickboxing!
Let’s design the future together!
